Before the storm

There are moments when a landscape seems to pause just before it changes. The light becomes heavier, colors deepen, and even the smallest flowers begin to feel significant.

Looking closely is not simply an act of observation. It is a way of allowing the world to reveal relationships that usually remain unnoticed—between light and shadow, stillness and movement, fragility and permanence.

I collect these moments not as references to copy, but as experiences of attention. They become the starting point for paintings that are less about describing a place than about preserving a particular way of seeing it.

Painting begins long before the first brushstroke. It begins with learning to look.
